MUSEUM QUALITY RESTORATION and repair

Stained glass restoration is our passion. Our projects range from large-scale, multi-phased restorations (First Church of Concord, Union Chapel) to smaller-scale, more specialized repairs (St. Peter’s by the Sea.) We hold ourselves to high preservation standards, informed by the International CVMA guidelines, and do all that we can to retain the original integrity of the windows we work on.

Our years of experience have exposed us to countless stained-glass and leaded-glass window building methods. This helps us tackle a wide variety of restoration and replication needs, and enables us to troubleshoot unfamiliar issues with greater confidence. Not sure what you need? We’re happy to consult with you.

Specialized skills include: Archival documentation, antique glass replacement, plated window expertise, glass painting and firing, glass repair, partial and complete lead restoration, and more.

special projects & commissions

In partnership with churches, cabinetmakers, and architects, we have designed and fabricated custom leaded-glass and stained-glass windows. These include replicas of existing panels, as well as creation of new windows based on provided designs. Our most exciting commission to date sits atop the interior courtyard of the New Hampshire State House.

wooden sash integration

Our experience with wooden window restoration makes us a great resource for projects that require rehab or repair of the wooden encasements or operable sashes. We stabilize, repair or replace them, safeguarding the lead repair on the rest of the windows
