about us
celebrating 10 years in 2025
Sash & Solder was founded in 2015 when Tom Driscoll moved to Portsmouth, N.H. and relaunched his stained glass restoration business. Together with his wife Heather Brooks, they set out to grow the Sash & Solder studio. The goal was to grow enough to take on larger scale projects like those Tom had worked on with other studios early on in his career. In 2020, childhood friend and former stained glass co-worker Dennis LaVersa joined the team, bringing 18 years of high-end restoration experience. In 2022, Dennis became an official partner in the business.
our TEAM
Our studio team is five people strong. Each of us plays unique and integral role in the success of our projects.
Patrick Noonan started his stained glass career with Sash & Solder and is now a journeyman glazer with a wide range of knowledge in window restoration techniques of all kinds. He has been with us through nearly every important project to date, and has built relationships across the stained glass community. On top of his day-to-day, he leads our safety initiatives and holds multiple certifications in lead and workplace safety.
Tracy Rines is a preservation carpenter who brings years of historic wooden window expertise to our team. Having studied at North Bennet Street School in Boston, she honed her skills at various restoration studios around New England before landing with us. From bowed sash, to complex joinery, Tracy helps us restore or replicate wooden sash to their original historic detail.
